Q. Why Become a Partner?

A. As a partner of YOU2CANCOOK you will be able to post your recipes on the website and sell them to the general public at a price of your choice.


Q. How much money will I make?

A. This will depend on how many people download your recipe and the price you wish to charge for your download. Remember though that this site is designed to encourage mass downloading and too higher price may discourage customers from purchasing your recipes.

Whatever you decide to charge, for hosting your recipe, YOU2CANCOOK will take a fee of 35% of every recipe sale you make. In addition you will need to cover the costs of all PAYPAL fees, YOU2CANCOOK does not charge any additional amount, simply subtracts these fees.



Q. How do I become a partner of YOU2CANCOOK?

A. Simply sign up to register as one of our chefs and then either upload your recipes to our FTP site or send in your recipes to our post office box.


Q. What video format do I need to use for downloading?

A. YOU2CANCOOK requires you to use MP4 format for full length videos which are to be downloaded. This format is compatible with ITunes and is easily downloaded to devices such as the IPOD, ITouch and also easily viewed using ITunes on PC or Laptops.


Q. What video format do I need to use for my previews?

A. In order to attract customers to buy your recipe and to facilitate fast and efficient streaming of your preview video we require you to make a 30-60 second clip in a FLV (Flash) format. Remember this clip should be effectively an advert to attract customers to buy your recipe.



Q. What Length of video should be used?

A. You can use up to 30 minutes for each recipe but YOU2CANCOOK recommends that you keep your recipes and videos to as short a length as possible whilst delivering a quality item.


Q. What Audio format do I need for downloading?

A. YOU2CANCOOK recommends you use MP3 format for full length Audio which are to be downloaded. This format is compatible with ITunes and is easily downloaded to devices such as the IPOD, ITouch and also easily viewed using ITunes on PC or Laptops.


Q. How do I convert files to the MP3 format?

 
A. You can easily convert any video file in to a mp3 format using free software AOA Audio extractor. This is available at www.download.com


Q. How do I upload my videos to the website?

A. First of all you need to download CUTEFTP, this is available at www.CuteFTP.com and its free for 30 days. £30 will buy you the software for life.

Then log on to our FTP using the following:

This will connect you to the FTP site. Once connected on the left hand side of the tool identify the file you wish to upload. Right click on your mouse and press upload. The file will then be uploaded to the FTP site.



Q. What if I cannot upload my videos to your FTP site?

A. YOU2CANCOOK is willing to upload your recipes to the website. Simply send your recipes on a suitable DVD to our POBox address above and include a £10 cheque which is an administration charge for each recipe you wish yo upload along with other contact details. Cheques should be made payable to YOU2CANCOOK.COM



Q. What happens next?

A. Your video will be reviewed by YOU2CANCOOK to ensure it meets with the standards and ethics of the site before publication on the web. YOU2CANCOOK reserves the right to refuse to publish any material it deems unsuitable or offensive. A refund will be given if this decision is made.



Q. Can I use a recipe out of a recipe book?

A. Copyright laws exist to protect individual’s intellectual property, YOU2CANCOOK accepts no liability for your use of other people recipes and recommends you use your own.


Q. Can I just post a written recipe and try to sell that?


A. YOU2CANCOOK will be happy to post any recipes in video or audio format. The unique format of YOU2CANCOOK is designed to allow the public to cook along with either an audio or video format. There are many recipe sites on the web offering recipes for free so we do not offer this service.
